Welcome to the Roosevelt Cultural District — a hub for fine cuisine, artistic expression, history, education, community gathering, and play — located within a one-square mile area along 42nd Street. One of 23 certified cultural districts in the state, the Roosevelt Cultural District includes a 30-acre educational campus hosting two schools, lawns, playing fields and playgrounds. A tree-lined boulevard marks the western boundary, a character-filled neighborhood lies to the north, and a diverse group of small shops, restaurants, galleries, and a playhouse flank the eastern perimeter.
